Maximize Your Credits

To get started and learn how your credits will seamlessly transfer to UW-Stout begin with Transferology. Here you will be able to enter the credits you worked hard to earn and see how they will transfer to UW-Stout.

Dedicated Transfer Student Scholarships

At UW-Stout, transfer students are automatically considered for our dedicated transfer scholarships. Additionally, you can apply for a full range of scholarships offered by our University Foundation.

Transfer Student Scholarship | $1,000

Eligibility Requirements

The Transfer Student Scholarship is a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship. Fifty scholarship awards are available for new entering transfer students. No additional scholarship application is required, you are eligible for consideration if you meet these criteria: 

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from the most recent school attended.
  • Transferring a minimum of 24 credits, but no more than 90 credits.
  • Enrolled as a full-time, degree-seeking student in an on-campus program (online/customized instruction students are ineligible). 
  • First-generation college student (neither parent/guardian earned a 4-year college degree).

*Priority is given to students who are admitted by the first Monday in April (Fall semester) or by the first Monday in October (Spring semester). Additional scholarship awarding may continue after the priority deadline, pending availability of funds.

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship | $1,500 - $2,500

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is offered only to qualified students transferring directly from two-year colleges for a Fall semester start. View eligibility criterion, application form, and instructions: PTK Transfer Scholarship

Scholarship Deadline: Second Monday in June.
