Students obtain practical experience in areas of construction associated with a broad range of building procedures and technology in this laboratory. Besides course work, the laboratory is also used for demonstrations and other hosted construction event.

 

Environmental Systems Laboratory TW 157E

Environmental Systems Laboratory

This laboratory is used by the Construction program for courses in environmental systems, and as a general classroom. A working reversible heat pump is used for HVAC experiments, as well as various demonstrations of HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment. Wireless connectivity is available to the campus network.

This room is connected to the campus network, utilizes digitizers for computer estimating, and has a laser printer and plotter capabilities. It is used for courses in Estimating, Scheduling, and Structural Systems. Wireless connectivity to the campus is also available.

 

Bull Pen and Student Construction Association Building

Bull Pen & SCA Building

This area is used for storage of laboratory materials and Student Construction Association (SCA) equipment. The materials are used for Light Construction Methods and Materials, plus Concrete and Masonry Technology. A steel structure in the area is used as a teaching tool in Structural Systems - Wood and Steel.

 

Architecture Laboratory MH 293

Architecture Laboratory

This room is designated for architectural drafting and design work with AutoCAD, along with lecture capabilities. Prints can be made by printer, plotter and Diazo. Wireless connectivity to the campus network is available.
