UW-Stout offers hundreds of scholarships because helping our Blue Devils reach their goal of graduation is a top priority, and we know paying for college can be challenging.
Through the UW-Stout Foundation, we offer scholarship opportunities for full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students, with more than $1.2 million in scholarships available.
Applying for a foundation scholarship is easy, and one application qualifies your student for any foundation scholarship they meet the criteria for. Look through our entire scholarship database to see which ones might be a great fit for your student.
The application deadline is the first Monday in February.
- Your student can apply through our Award Spring dashboard and log in with their Stout account.
- No letters of recommendation are needed.
- Although essays are optional for most scholarships, we highly encourage them, as an essay is your student's opportunity to tell us more about themselves.
This easy, new application process saves your student work and time. After they fill out the general application form, Award Spring will filter through the 400+ scholarships for them, and automatically apply or prompt them to finish applying, if there is an essay needed, for example.
Scholarship recipients will be notified of their status by the middle of April 2025.
If you have any questions about the application process for foundation scholarships, contact Alissa Arzt, arzta@uwstout.edu.
Grants and Scholarships for Underrepresented Students
On top of the Foundation’s scholarships, we also offer grants and scholarships for underrepresented students through Multicultural Student Services. MSS staff can help students and families with any questions or concerns.
Opportunities include the Multicultural Student Scholarship, Lawton Undergraduate Multicultural Retention Grant and the Advanced Opportunity Program.
Scholarships for International Students
Scholarships are available to qualified, full-time international students based on their academic achievement, financial need and participation in cultural and community service activities.
International students and families can contact the Office of International Education with any questions. Application deadlines differ for international scholarships.
