Kristyn Blessing has taught at University of Wisconsin-Stout since 2013, both in the English as a Second Language Institute and the First Year Composition program. In these programs, she supports student academic readiness, involvement in the Stout community, and interaction with the wider Menomonie community.
Kristyn has also taught in China at Shandong University of Science & Technology as well as Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, in partnership with the University of Toledo, Ohio, where she worked to build students' intercultural and linguistic skills Chinese students for academic studies in the US.
In addition to university teaching, she has fostered young people's growth in critical reading skills through Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth Online.
In addition to teaching, she has published poetry in various journals including Frogpond, the journal of the Haiku Society of America and Ribbons, the journal of the Tanka Society of America.
