Education & Background:
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from UW-La Crosse and a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling from UW-Stout. Before working at UW-Stout I was a case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin for 3 years, and a school guidance counselor for 9 years in Central Wisconsin and abroad.
As a first-year advisor, I assist students in the School of Art and Design as they navigate their transition to college, develop academic skills, and plan for future semesters at UW-Stout.
Free Time/Personal:
Outside of work I enjoy camping, swimming, fishing, hiking, cooking and travel.
Tips for Success:
Schedule regular study times into your week as though they are required “class” times.
Do the hardest work first when you have the most energy and focus.
