Kristen is a Case Facilitator at the University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI), working with applicants to determine eligibility for the State of Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) program. She brings clinical experience from working in a variety of different counseling settings ranging from outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential treatment working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns.
Previously she has worked at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in both academic and athletic departments. She served as the Director of Stout Elite Gymnastics Academy as well as Assistant and Director of Operations for the University of Wisconsin-Stout Gymnastics team, as well as a Graduate Assistant in the Physical Education Department for the Lifelong Wellness/Health Psychology.
Kristen holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with formal concentrations in Eating Disorders and Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Counseling, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Psychology with a Minor in Health, Wellness, and Fitness. Kristen was a five-year NCAA student-athlete at UW-Stout on the women’s gymnastics team, earning Senior Scholar Athlete and National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholar Athlete accolades.
She is in the process of obtaining her LPC-IT license to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. She is passionate about playing a small role in helping others through her work. She enjoys being active, sports, hiking, traveling, crafts, and spending time with family and friends + spoiling her pets Wrigley and Keke.
