Karen Smith is a Case Facilitator at the University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI), working with applicants to determine eligibility for the State of Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) program. She brings 20 years of experience as a Case Manager working with people experiencing homelessness, a Job Developer working with customers with disabilities, and a Family Development Specialist in a Head Start pilot program. Karen also served on a State of Wisconsin Steering Committee for a homeless program for 10 years. She is a University of Wisconsin-Stout graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. In her spare time, Karen likes traveling, biking, hiking, kayaking, and reading. She is a lifelong learner and enjoys interacting with and helping people to be successful at obtaining their goals.
