Sami attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Rehabilitation with specialties in Psychiatric Rehab and Substance Abuse Counseling. Sami received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and focused on Eating Disorders and Body Image, along with a focus on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. Sami has worked in private practice and in the college setting. She began working at UW-Stout Counseling Center in August of 2019.
Counseling areas of interest include: Depression, anxiety, eating disorders,trauma and abuse, life transitions, family stress, emotional disturbances, coping, substance abuse and prevention, healthy relationships, and self-care; with a person-centered approach.
